Particulars on the 959 S are scarce; Porsche made simply 29 examples of it, with the two.8-liter flat-six engine that includes bigger turbochargers and the corporate claiming an “official” output of 508hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, over the usual 959’s 444hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. High pace was “rated” at 210 mph.

Excellent traction was Porsche’s aim once they designed the 959. The PSK 4-wheel drive system was the technological spotlight of the 959. PSK, which did add weight to the automobile, may range the ratio of torque to the entrance & rear wheels. The default setting for the system was 40% entrance and 60% rear. Below acceleration the PSK adjusts to ratio to 80% torque to the rear wheels. Throughout slippery situations the ratio was 50 : 50.

The principle different distinction between the Sport and regular model of the 959 was the burden. Porsche lightened the 959 by 100 kilos. To do that they eliminated the adjustable experience peak system, adjustable dampening system, rear seats, energy home windows, air-conditioning, central lock, passenger facet mirror.
