Dutch sustainable power firm InnoEnergy, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Know-how (EIT), has partnered with New Power New York (NENY) to develop a battery manufacturing and provide chain workforce in Upstate New York. The events have signed a three-year deal value $1.29 million.

NENY—an initiative led by Binghamton College, comprising a coalition of educational, non-profit and authorities organizations in collaboration trade—goals to develop a aggressive battery improvement and manufacturing ecosystem in New York, together with a well-trained workforce. 

By way of the partnership, NENY will use EIT InnoEnergy’s studying providers platform, the European Battery Alliance Academy (EBA Academy), which is aimed toward coaching present and potential members of the battery workforce and contains curriculum, train-the-trainer providers, a studying administration system and insights into supply strategies.
