ENC’s new buses to make use of propulsion and energy administration programs from BAE

US-based bus producer ENC, a subsidiary of the REV Group, will use propulsion and energy administration know-how from BAE Methods in its new battery-electric and hydrogen gasoline cell transit buses.

BAE Methods will provide its Gen3 energy inverters and electrical motors, Modular Energy Management System (MPCS) and Modular Accent Energy System (MAPS) to ENC to be used in its Axess Battery Electrical Bus (EVO-BE) and its Axess Hydrogen Gasoline Cell Electrical Bus (EVO-FC).

The EVO-BE will embody a Proterra Powered battery system, and the EVO-FC may have a 125 kW hydrogen gasoline cell from Plug.

BAE Methods’ electrical propulsion know-how is developed and serviced at its amenities in Endicott, New York and Rochester, UK.
