Logistics agency Schneider so as to add 100 Class 8 electrical vehicles to its fleet
Schneider, a supplier of transportation, intermodal and logistics providers, says it can quickly start taking supply of almost 100 Class 8 battery-electric autos at its intermodal operations in Southern California.
The corporate’s first Freightliner eCascadia, manufactured by Daimler in Portland, Oregon, is about to roll off the road. Schneider plans to accumulate an extra 30 BEVs from Daimler on high of its beforehand ordered 62.
The corporate says the fleet of zero-emission eCascadias will stop greater than 81,000 kilos of carbon dioxide emissions per day. “Together with rail motion,” remarked Schneider President and CEO Mark Rourke, “we are able to provide our intermodal clients significant emissions discount worth by using BEV dray vehicles.”
