My father’s first model new automotive was this 1968 Plymouth Barracuda 340-S. It was the automotive he and my mother introduced me house in once I was born. Once I received my license at 16 years previous he gave it to me. I spent each greenback I had on it. My brothers and I labored on the automotive nonstop till 1992 once we “completed” it. Properly in 1994 after not driving it (no ac, unhealthy fuel mileage and having a younger household of my very own), we determined to promote it to a household that lives right here in northern California.

It was my automotive, my dad’s automotive, and it seemed precisely the identical as once I bought it! It was on the market all the way in which throughout the nation in Shadyside, Ohio! After a couple of backwards and forwards emails, cellphone calls and a visit out to Ohio, my dad’s automotive was one step nearer to being again house. I completed the acquisition and loaded her up on a trailer for the journey again to California.

I’ve only in the near past accomplished a full rebuild of the unique 340, transmission and rear finish. I’m eternally grateful to ClassicCars.com and the earlier proprietor who took great care of part of our households legacy. Whereas my dad handed away in September 2021 and by no means received the see his Barracuda come house, I’m proof that miracles do in reality occur!!!
