Nice Britain’s King Charles III honored Sonu Shivdasani, Founder and CEO of Soneva, the trailblazing luxurious eco-resorts within the Maldives and Thailand, as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for his contributions to tourism, sustainability and charity, as a part of the King’s New 12 months Honors 2023 Record.

Born in England, Sonu is an alumnus of Eton School and a graduate of Oxford College.

It was throughout his time at Oxford that he met his Swedish-born spouse Eva and collectively they fell in love with the Maldives.
